Betsy's Back!
Betsy and her husband decided after a year of the New York experience that Nashville was indeed home. She has taken over as pastry chef.
Brian Brown joins the guys at night after spending the last several months assisting sous chef Everett Nelson with the AM prep.
Peaceful Pastures
Recently the staff visited Jenny Drake at her farm Peaceful Pastures in Hickman County, TN. Jenny has participated in several slowfood events and makes deliveries to Nashville once a month. She raises goats, pigs, cows, sheep, ducks and chickens. It was a real treat to see her operation. They host an open house and will begin having field trips in the fall. You can check it out on her website: www.peacefulpastures.com.
Farmer's Market
Margot was asked to be on the board of Friends of the Farmers Market. This organization is focused on bringing consumers and local farmers back to the market in the Bicentennial Mall on 8th and Jefferson. For more information, events, and to become a member check out www.FNFM.org
Bases Loaded
Just for fun we all recently got together for a girls against the guys softball game at Shelby Park. The boys unofficially won the game but the girls looked better in their uniforms.
Have a great summer!
