Cooking Classes for
2008 -

schedule for next year sometime in the late fall.
All classes
are taught by Margot and her staff. Class time varies but plan to spend
at
least 2 hours.
All classes to be held at Margot Cafe and Bar 1017

All classes are held on Monday evenings with a start
time of 6:30. Please be prompt.
All classes are held in the kitchen. Please wear
suitable clothing and shoes.
Class size is limited to about 12 students. Please
respond quickly with your choices or you may be disappointed.
2008 Classes - now full!
January 14th Knife Skills $25: the focus on this class
is how to sharpen and handle your knife. I will demonstrate the various
knife cuts and debone a chicken. *Advanced students only.
February 4. Pizza. $30. We will make pizza dough and toppings and everyone
will make their own pizza.
March 3. Pasta. $40. We will explore the intricate art of making fresh
pasta dough and gnocchi with complimentary sauces.
April 7. Fish and shellfish. $50. The basics of fish cookery are presented
with advice on where and how to buy the best seafood.
May 5th. Condiments. $25. learn how to make some of your own key ingredients
like preserved lemon, creme fraiche and herb oil.
June 16th. Cooking with Kids. $25. Margot's in the kitchen with the next
class of enthusiastic young chefs.
July 21. Provence. $50. A multicourse dinner from this famed region in
France is presented.
August 11. Tuscany. $50. A multicourse dinner from this famed region
in Italy is prepared.
September 15th. Side dishes. $30. Polenta, risotto, bread pudding, cous
cous and tasty vegetable preparations.
October 6th. Soup. $30. Techniques of soup making. How to build flavor
in your pot with emphasis on homemade stocks.
November 3rd. Bread. $30. Learn how to bake the restaurants favorite
focaccia; the delicious and versatile French brioche; and an American
classic the cottage cheese dill roll.
December 8th. Dessert. $40. Just in time to impress holiday guests with
classics like creme brulee.
